Minister of Foreign Affairs hosts a dinner in honor of the diplomatic corps accredited to Thailand during the 2026 Study Visit to learn about Royal Initiative Projects

On 20 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a dinner in honor of the diplomatic corps accredited to Thailand, together with their spouses, during the 2026 Study Visit to learn about Royal Initiative Projects, as well as Thailand’s potentials and national identity in Surat Thani province on 19 - 21 February 2026.

The Foreign Minister delivered opening remarks welcoming the diplomatic corps and MFA executives, together with their spouses, and underscored that the study visit provided a valuable opportunity to enhance mutual understanding through first-hand experience and cultural exchange, as well as to support local innovation and approaches to sustainable development. He also highlighted efforts to promote Thai textiles and sustainable fashion, inspired by the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and the vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, including Thailand’s ongoing efforts to advance the
nomination of Chud Thai for inscription on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) list, which is scheduled for consideration this year. The Foreign Minister also expressed appreciation to all parties for their contributions to strengthening the friendly relations between Thailand and the international community on this occasion.

In addition, the delegation also visited OTOP product booths and enjoyed cultural performances from Southern Thailand during the event.
