On 16 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Ms. Charlotte Kugelberg, State Secretary to Minister for Justice of the Kingdom of Sweden on the sidelines of the Global Fraud Summit in Vienna.

Both sides emphasized the importance of international cooperation in tackling global fraud, particularly online scams, which affects people in different parts of the world, including those falling victims to trafficking and forced labour. On this occasion, the State Secretary also expressed appreciation to Thailand for its cooperation in a successful operation tackling criminal networks dealing in synthetic drugs and money laundering, as well as hoped to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries on this matter.
