On 19 January 2024, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand, hosted a farewell luncheon in honour of H.E. Ms. Ana Maria Prieto Abad, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to the Kingdom of Thailand, on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, upon the Ambassador's completion of duty.

In her remarks, DPS Busadee expressed her appreciation to the Ambassador of Colombia for her active role and participation in numerous activities, including the Third Meeting of Thailand-Colombia Bilateral Consultations hosted virtually by Colombia in 2021, business seminars to promote economic relations between Thailand and Latin American countries organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Spanish language courses offered to Thai government officials, and cultural performances by Colombian artists, among others. Such activities have significantly contributed to the further strengthening of Thailand – Colombia relations, whose 45th anniversary will be celebrated this year, in all dimensions.

On this occasion, DPS Busadee also took the opportunity to thank Ambassador Prieto Abad for her constant support to the Ministry's activities during her ambassadorship in Thailand and wished the Ambassador success in all her future endeavours.
