On 13 May 2022, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand had a bilateral meeting with The Honorable John Kerry, U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate during the visit to attend the ASEAN – U.S. Special Summit between 12-13 May 2022 in Washington, D.C.

Both sides discussed ways to promote cooperation on sustainable and eco-friendly development and climate change response, in line with Thailand’s Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model and the U.S. climate policy, which are shared priorities of both sides during Thailand’s APEC Host Year in 2022 and will advance collaboration with a seamless transition to the U.S. APEC Host Year in 2023.
