On 29 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. Ms. Wong Siow Ping Catherine, Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call upon her assumption of duty.

On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to advance bilateral cooperation in various aspects such as political and security, trade and investment, especially increasing investment from Singapore in Thailand, as well as people-to-people relations, including education cooperation.

Both sides agreed to maintain regular exchange of high-level visits between the two countries, especially the visit to Singapore of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand in the near future, and the visit to Thailand of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore to co-chair the 14th Thailand - Singapore Civil Service Exchange Programme (CSEP) in June 2024. Both sides also discussed possible activities to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Thailand – Singapore diplomatic relations in 2025.

In addition, both sides also exchanged views on regional issues, including the situation in Myanmar. The Singapore side expressed full support for Thailand’s efforts and welcomed the successful pilot project of humanitarian initiative to provide assistance to the Myanmar people affected by conflict along the Thai-Myanmar border.
