On 24 October 2023, Ambassador Robert F. Godec, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Mr. Jakkapong Sangmanee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and congratulated them on their assumption of duty. Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow and Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa also attended the meeting.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations, including trade and investment promotion, as well as enhancing high-level engagements. They also exchanged views on important regional developments, including the situation in Myanmar.
