On 29 May 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Hari Prabowo, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call upon the latter’s assumption of duty.

Both sides welcomed the dynamic and smooth relations between Thailand and Indonesia, especially the elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership during the official visit to Thailand by H.E. Mr. Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, in May 2025. They agreed to promote more frequent high-level exchanges in order to further strengthen cooperation across various fields, particularly in trade and investment. They also exchanged views on regional developments of mutual interest. The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to work closely with Indonesia to advance issues of common interest within ASEAN and other international forums.
