On 6 February 2024, H.E. Dr. Jirayu Isarangkun Na Ayutthaya, Chairman of the Thailand Foundation, hosted lunch for H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with H.E. Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs; Mrs. Tongrudee Markboon, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs; Mrs. Kanchana Patarachoke, Director-General of the Department of Information; Mr. Tharit Charungwat, Secretary-General of the Thailand Foundation; and Mr. Paitoon Songkaew, Director of the Thailand Foundation.

On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Jirayu and Mr. Tharit provided a summary of the operations and future trajectory of the Thailand Foundation. Furthermore, both sides exchanged views and opinions on the promotion of "people-to-people relations" on the international level, an act that is also known as “public diplomacy”, through Thailand Foundation’s four main activities, as follows:

1. Promoting cultural interest and exchanges through the production and dissemination of information about Thai culture and heritage in English.

2. Promoting academic and personal exchanges by supporting Thai studies, exchange programs, scholarships, training programs, and other academic endeavours.

3. Creating materials for teaching Thai language to foreigners on online media

4. Presenting guides and teachings on mental development and meditation.

The Thailand Foundation is a nonprofit organization established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote goodwill and friendship between Thailand and the international community.
