On 12 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a working lunch with representatives of leading Thai businesses in India across a range of sectors, including electricity and clean energy, packaging, petrochemicals, and consumer goods, to discuss on their perspectives and recommendations on doing business in India, including opportunities in and issues relating to expanding trade and investment between Thailand and India and promote bilateral economic cooperation.
The engagement formed part of Thailand’s efforts to advance its economic diplomacy, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ commitment to supporting Thai businesses in expanding operations and investment in the Indian market. The Ministry continues to work closely with the relevant agencies to advance economic cooperation and business linkages between Thailand and India, translating the close bilateral relationship into tangible opportunities for Thai businesses.
