On 1 February 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed with H.E. Mr. Gideon Sa’ar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel in Tel Aviv.

Both Foreign Ministers exchanged insights on the recent release of five Thai hostages in the Gaza Strip. The Thai side expressed its appreciation for the Israeli side’s assistance and good care extended to them. The Thai side sought Israeli support in further securing one remaining Thai hostage and expediting the retrieval of the bodies of two deceased Thai hostages.

On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel hosted a dinner in honour of the Foreign Minister and the delegation with warm hospitality. During the dinner, both sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in agricultural know-how and technologies, food security, public health, trade and tourism, as well as exchanged views on regional situations.
