On 13 March 2026, Mr. Amnat Plalapleewan, Director of the Division for the Protection of Thai Nationals Abroad, Department of Consular Affairs, together with Mr. Phichet Tongpan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, jointly welcomed the 30 Thai nationals, most of whom are Thai workers, who were safely evacuated from Iran and travelled through Türkiye to Thailand at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies have closely coordinated efforts to facilitate the evacuation and provide assistance to ensure the safe return of Thai nationals, underlining the priority that the government places on the safety and well-being of Thai nationals overseas.
