Director-General of the South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs Department meets with Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Thailand

On 21 May 2026, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Alsuhaibani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Thailand.

Both sides exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and discussed ways to further enhance bilateral relations, including high-level visits and preparation for the 2nd Saudi - Thai Coordination Council (STCC) Meeting at the Foreign Minister level to be held in Riyadh later this year. The discussion also covered the invitation for Thailand to participate in Expo 2030 Riyadh.
