On 30 January 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, met with Ms. Tammi Lynn Sharpe, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Thailand.

Both sides discussed progress in the implementation of the policy allowing Myanmar displaced persons to work outside temporary shelters, ways to provide assistance and explore durable solutions for vulnerable displaced persons in Thailand, as well as enhancing cooperation between the Royal Thai Government and UNHCR on these matters.
