On 14 August 2025, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, had a discussion with Mr. Andrew Egan, Minister and Permanent Representative of Australia to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).

Both sides exchanged views on issues related to the preparations of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA80) to be held in September 2025 in New York, development cooperation between Thailand and Australia, humanitarian assistance to vulnerable groups in the border areas between Thailand and Myanmar, and the Thailand - Cambodia border situation. The Director-General informed the Minister and Permanent Representative of the facts about the Thailand - Cambodia border situation in the context of anti-personnel landmines and international humanitarian law.
