On 5 August 2024, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, met with Mr. Paul Dean, the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Arms Control, Deterrence, and Stability of the United States’ Department of State to discuss cooperation on issues related to weapons of mass destruction (WMD), disarmament and non-proliferation, including under the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), and the responsible military uses of artificial intelligence in the context of new technologies.
