On 27 September 2024, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, had bilateral meetings with Director-General level representatives from various countries during the High-level week of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79) in New York.

The Director-Genera discussed with (1) Mr. Anthony Simpson, Director of Multilateral and Legal Affairs Group, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand, (2) Ms. Angela Robinson, First Assistant Secretary, Multilateral Policy and Human Rights Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia and (3) Ms. Daphné Leson, Deputy Permanent Representative of Monaco to the United Nations in New York to exchange views on multilateral issues of common interest. On this occasion, Director- General Jayanama also requested support for Thailand’s candidature to the Human Rights Council (HRC) for the term 2025-2027 at the elections to be held on 9 October 2024 in New York.
