On 4-8 March 2024, Mrs. Salinee Phonprapai, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs and Thailand APEC Alternate Senior Official, attended the APEC 1st Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM1) and related meetings in Lima, Peru, to discuss works for APEC2024.

This year, under the theme ‘EMPOWER. INCLUDE. GROW.’, APEC members will drive forward key deliverables on the transition of the informal economy to the formal economy, new look on FTAAP, low-carbon hydrogen, and preventing and reducing food loss and waste, all of which are the issues that Thailand supports.

On this occasion, Thailand also invited member economies to submit nominations to the 2024 APEC BCG Award.
