On 8 August 2024, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, co-chaired a meeting with JUDr. Richard Hlavatý, Director of the Non-European Countries Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the of the Czech Republic, at the Ministry of Foreign affairs, to discuss the preparation of the 3rd Session of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation (JEC) between Thailand and the Czech Republic. The meeting was also joined by representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry.

On this occasion, both sides discussed about the areas of cooperation and timeline of the JEC, including trade, Industries, aerospace, EV and environment. They agreed that the upcoming JEC will promote closer cooperations between Thailand and the Czech Republic.
