Excellency,

On 4 October 2020, the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Morocco mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. On this auspicious occasion, I have the honour to extend my best wishes and warmest felicitations to you and, through you, to the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Moroccan people.

Over the years, our friendly ties and close relations have steadily progressed, marked by exchanges of visits at all levels, from our Royal Families to high-ranking Government officials. At the people-to-people level, in particular, tourism has increased between our two Kingdoms. Our respective diplomatic missions have worked hard to promote cultural and social exchanges through food, sports and other areas, and I am certain that this will bring our two peoples even closer in the years ahead.

Our bilateral cooperation has also yielded concrete outcomes, most prominently in the areas of trade and investment, education, moderate Islam, and tourism. Moreover, we have also rendered continuous support to one another’s agendas in multilateral fora, to advance international progress and tackle common challenges.

I therefore wish to take this opportunity to express my sincerest gratitude to you and, through you, to the Moroccan side for your efforts and dedication to promoting and enhancing our ties. I also wish to reaffirm my readiness and commitment to working closely with you to further enhance Thai-Moroccan relations as well as explore new areas of cooperation during and after the COVID-19 pandemic for the mutual benefit and prosperity of our two Kingdoms and peoples in the years to come.
