On 17 September 2024, Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, congratulated the government and the people of Chile in conmemorating the 214th anniversary of independence and delivered a congratulatory remarks at the reception to celebrate the National Day of Chile.

In his remarks, the Director-General underscored the warm and constructive relations between Thailand and Chile, which have flourished for over 60 years. He also reiterated Thailand’s steadfast commitment in further enhancing Thailand-Chile cooperation, both at bilateral and multilateral levels, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, agriculture, and astronomy among others.
