On January 14, 2025, Consul-General Katanawadee Kalayanamit, Deputy Consul-General Natnapang Damrongsoontornchai with spouse, Consul Urasee Thiratangsathira Jeong, along with Mrs. Suprattana Gamolvej, Director of the Thai Trade Center in Chicago, Ms. Anoma Vongyai, Director, Mrs.Sirima Yuviengjaya Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Chicago Office, and the Thai community participated in merit-making ceremony, chanting of prayers and alms-giving to monks, in order to commemorate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua attaining the same age as King Rama I. The event took place at Wat Dhammaram in Chicago.
