On 7 July 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, together with Heads and officials of Team Thailand agencies in Canberra and their spouses as well as family members joined together in a volunteer activity to commemorate the Auspicious Occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on 28 July 2026.
The activity, entitled “Happy Hour with the Royal Thai Embassy”, was organised to bring joy, happiness and cultural exchange opportunity to elderly residents at Goodwin Aged Care, Goodwin Village, Farrer in Canberra.
The programme included a video presentation introducing Thailand, a traditional “Tari Kipas” dance performance, live music and singing performances by volunteer participants, Thai refreshments (Thai desserts and herbal drinks), as well as a Thai traditional circle group dance (Ram Wong) which most participants enjoyed joining in.
This marked the 3rd time that the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand agencies in Canberra organised the “Happy Hour” event at Goodwin Aged Care, Goodwin Village, Farrer since 2024. The event has contributed to creating joy and happiness among the residents while promoting greater awareness and understanding of Thailand among the residents, as well as the management and staff of the aged care facility.
Approximately 60 participants in total attended the activity, including residents and the management and staff as well as the organizing team of volunteers.
