On 18 January 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a bilateral discussion with Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, during the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat in Langkawi, Malaysia.

Both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Thailand and Malaysia. They also exchanged views on policies and approaches under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, including trade investment and regional supply chain promotion, as well as energy cooperation and comprehensive connectivity within ASEAN.
