On 17 November 2025, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the King’s Day celebration of the Kingdom of Belgium, at the Ritz-Carlton Bangkok.

Participants observed a moment of silence in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The Secretary to the Minister delivered remarks highlighting the close and long-standing relations between Thailand and Belgium in the areas of trade, economy, and tourism. He also underscored key areas of cooperation, including Thailand’s commitment to acceding to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Belgium’s support for advancing negotiations on the Thailand - EU Free Trade Agreement and opportunities to further strengthen cooperation in other mutually beneficial sectors in the future.
