On 15 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the Australian Institutional Investors Reception at the residence of the Australian Ambassador to Thailand.

The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the delegation of Australian institutional investors, as the visit presented an opportunity for the delegation to gain insights into Thailand’s economic potential and explore opportunities to expand Australian investment in Thailand.

The Australian institutional investors delegation comprised senior representatives from 20 major Australian institutional investors and investment funds, with combined assets of approximately AUD 2 trillion (around THB 47 trillion). The delegation expressed interest in investment opportunities in Southeast Asia, including Thailand, particularly in infrastructure, the energy transition, sustainable finance, and private-market investments.
