On 8 August 2024, the Department of ASEAN Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will organise the ASEAN Day 2024 to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN. H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, will preside over the opening ceremony.

The Event will start with the ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony followed by the ASEAN Quiz 2024. There will also be exhibition booths by the Department of Public Relations and the Embassies of ASEAN Member States in Thailand.

The Ministry, in collaboration with several partner organisations, will also co-organise a series of commemorative activities during 6-8 August 2024, such as a workshop on “Introduction to AI” with the ASEAN Association- Thailand, the C ASEAN Forum 2024 under the theme “Pioneering the Future of ASEAN Green Procurement” as well as “Fostering ASEAN Talent” activities with C ASEAN. In addition, the Ministry will co-host, with the ASEAN Studies Center, Chulalongkorn University, a seminar on "Reshaping ASEAN Towards an Inclusive, Sustainable and Resilient Future" on 15-16 August 2024. This series of activities demonstrates the close collaborative partnership between the government, academic, and private sectors, and the shared commitment to help raise awareness about ASEAN and build up knowledge and new skills for the youth and the general public.
