Minister of Foreign Affairs joins the Prime Minister in attending the 28th ASEAN Plus Three Summit

On 27 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, joined H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, in attending the 28th ASEAN Plus Three Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In attendance were leaders or representatives from the ASEAN Member States, China, the Republic of Korea, and Japan. The meeting reviewed and discussed future directions for the ASEAN Plus Three cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international issues.

The Prime Minister underscored the importance of the ASEAN Plus Three mechanism in strengthening regional cooperation and supporting the sustainable development agenda, and proposed the “3 securities approach” for future cooperation, namely financial security, digital security, and human security, including tackling online scams and enhancing food security. In addition, the meeting also adopted the ASEAN Plus Three Leaders’ Statement on Strengthening Regional Economic and Financial Cooperation.
