H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will attend the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting Retreat (AMM Retreat) on 18-19 January 2025 in Langkawi, Malaysia, at the invitation of H.E. Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and ASEAN Chair for 2025.

The AMM Retreat marks the first meeting among the ASEAN Foreign Ministers under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship for 2025. The Foreign Ministers will discuss and set out the direction of ASEAN cooperation for 2025 under the Chairmanship theme of “Inclusivity and Sustainability.” The meeting will follow up on the outcomes of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits last October in Vientiane, discuss directions of ASEAN action plans throughout 2025, as well as exchange views on key regional and international issues affecting the ASEAN region.
