On 2 August 2021, H.E. Mr. Nathapol Khantahiran, Ambassador of Thailand to the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Gaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari, Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs of Qatar, to discuss collaboration between Thailand and Qatar in the fields of Islamic affairs and education. The Ambassador expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs for providing scholarships for Thai-Muslim students to study in Qatar. Currently, there are 20 Thai-Muslim students who are funded by the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs to study secondary school level in Qatar.
