On 23 April 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Vakhtang Jaoshvili, Ambassador of Georgia to Thailand with residence in New Delhi, during the latter’s visit to Thailand to attend the 82nd Session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok.

Both sides discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation between Thailand and Georgia, particularly in the areas of economy, trade, investment, and tourism as well as the exchange of high-level visits. They also exchanged views on developments in various regions.
