On 30 July 2019, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, held a bilateral talk with H.E. Mr. Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, during an official visit to Thailand to strengthen cooperation in various dimensions such as economy and trade, energy, environmental protection, science and technology, security, and education. On this occasion, Minister Don reaffirmed Thailand’s invitation for Russia to invest in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and S-Curve industries in the areas of Russia’s expertise, for example, aerospace, digital and smart city. In this regard, Thailand invited Russia to participate in the ASEAN Smart Cities Network Conference and Exhibition and the ASEM Seminar on Enhancing Human Capital for Sustainable Digital Connectivity which will be held in Thailand in August 2019 and October 2019 respectively.
