On 19 April 2019, the Royal Thai Embassy in Jakarta with Mrs. Piyachanid Sukchan, spouse of the Ambassador, and the Thai Women’s Group in Jakarta organized the “Batik and Beauty”event at the Thai Residence. The event comprised a fashion show, sale of Thai products, auction of many products, and presentation of various Thai food and desserts. The event raised funds for Yayasan Kanker Anak Indonesia: The Indonesian Pediatric Cancer Foundation, which the Royal Thai Embassy will donate the proceeds from the event to the Foundation, for the Auspicious Occasion of the Coronation of King Rama X B.E. 2562 (2019). The event also enhanced relations between Thailand-Indonesia through the promotion of Thai culture and food.
