The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) expresses serious concern over the recent developments in India and Pakistan which reportedly resulted in the loss of lives and casualties.

 ASEAN notes the efforts by India and Pakistan to reduce tension and resolve their dispute through dialogue and negotiations, in order to maintain peace, security and stability in the region.

ASEAN condemns the terrorist act on 14 February 2019 in Pulwama and reiterates its strong commitment to work closely with the international community in the fight against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
