H.E. the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland, Australia, is scheduled to pay a visit to Thailand as guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during 24 - 26 November 2018.

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, will host a luncheon in honour of the Governor of Queensland at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 26 November 2018. The Governor of Queensland will also pay a visit to the Royal Chitralada Projects and Suan Dusit University, where he will witness a signing ceremony to extend an MOU on educational exchanges between Suan Dusit University and TAFE Queensland, as well as meeting with H.E. Mr. Atthaniti Disatha-amnarj, Privy Councillor. The Governor of Queensland is also scheduled to meet  with representatives of Thai businesses investing in Queensland. The visit to Thailand will foster closer relations and cooperation between Thailand and Queensland as well as Australia.

Queensland is the second largest state of Australia by area after Western Australia, and the third largest in terms of population (4.18 million) after New South Wales and Victoria. Brisbane is the capital of Queensland. Home to a community of ten thousand Thais, Queensland is known for its agricultural and mining sectors. Major Thai investments in Queensland include sugar production, automobile parts, wind farm development, hotels and restaurants.
