On 31 October 2018, H.E. Dusit Manapan, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait attended the inauguration ceremony of the first Aswaq Al Qurain service center showroom of Toyota and Lexus. The center and showroom is part of the Al Sayer Group’s business. The Al Sayer Group is one of the biggest family companies in Kuwait and started the automobile business since 1954. The Al Sayer Group has imported many models of Toyota to Kuwait from Thailand, USA, Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia. The founder and CEO of the group; Mr. Mubarak Naser Al Sayer is the first person to bring Toyota to the Arab world. Among the guests are board members of Toyota Motor Corporation, members from Automotive Union, Kuwait Ministry Departments, Ambassador of the USA to Kuwait, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. of Japan and Indonesia, Executive Director of Taipei Commercial Representative Office. Thailand has manufactured and imported Hilux, Fortuner and Innova to Kuwait since 2005
