On ๓๐^th September ๒๐๑๖, the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo organized a reception to celebrate the inauguration of “A Journey through Thailand : Land of Unforgettable Experience” photo exhibition as well as the launching of its photobook at Hilton Cairo Heliopolis.

            This event is the collaboration between the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Dubai Office, in order to promote Thailand and its culture in Egypt. Earlier this year in March, the Embassy invited Ms. Asmaa Gamal, one of the most well-known photographers in Egypt, to travel to Thailand to capture different aspects of Thai culture through her photographs. All photos used in both photobook and photo exhibition were taken during that trip.    

            At the event, about ๘๐ guests comprising of members of diplomatic corps, representatives of Egyptian government, tour operators and journalists attended the event and took a tour of photo exhibition with great enthusiasm. All guests also received a copy of photobook at their departure. The Embassy plans to further distribute the photobooks to libraries and other entities in Egypt so as to ensure that this bilingual book (English and Arabic) which serves as an invaluable source of information about Thailand can be reachable to reach wider Egyptian audience. Meanwhile, the photo exhibition is open to public at Hilton Cairo Heliopolis from ๓๐^th September to ๑๐^th October ๒๐๑๘.
