          On 8 August 2018, ASEAN Committee in Kuwait (ACK) organised an event to celebrate the 51st anniversary of ASEA at the Embassy of Malaysia in Kuwait with the participation of about 120 guests.

          The event started from the ASEAN Flag hoisting ceremony, speech by Ambassador Dusit Manapan of Thailand, the current ACK Chair, cultural performances from Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. The guest also enjoyed the exhibition of cultural and tourism materials as well as a selection of ASEAN food delicacies.

          The ACK is composed of ambassadors of nine ASEAN countries which have a diplomatic mission in Kuwait, namely, Myanmar, Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam.

          Among the guests of honour, H.E. Ambassador Ali Suleiman Al-Saeed, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs, Ambassadors of China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Australia and India also attended the event.
