           During 16-22 July 2018, H.E. ACM Prajin Juntong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of Thailand and his team visited Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. H.E. ACM Prajin Juntong along with senior officials met the Honorable Greg Hunt MP, Minister for Health and Aged Care and the Honorable Peter Dutton MP, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, to discuss ways to enhance their cooperation on anti-narcotic policy and preventive measures. The Thai side also took the opportunity to thank the Australian Government for its kind assistance in the rescue efforts of the Thai Youth soccer team who were trapped inside Tham Luang cave in Chiang-Rai.

           In addition, the delegation attended briefing sessions organized by Australian Authorities Concerned as well as study visits at the Medifarm company in Sunshine Coast, Queensland to explore ways to use extracts from cannabis for medical purposes and We Help Ourselves (WHOS) Campus in Sydney, to observe good practices in promoting the therapeutic community (TC) method of treatment among the people with alcohol and other drug problems.
