Following the capsizing of tourist boats off Phuket Island on 5 July 2018 which caused many casualties, most of whom are Chinese, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent messages of condolences to H.E. Mr. Xi Jingping, President of the People’s Republic of China, and H.E. Mr. Li Keqiang, the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China,  and H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a message of condolences to H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, as follows:
