Minister of External Relations of the Federative Republic of Brazil Paid a Visit to the Kingdom of Thailand

H.E. Mr. Aloysio Nunes Ferreira Filho, Minister of External Relations of the Federative Republic of Brazil, paid a working visit to Thailand on 9 – 10 May 2018.
 
During the visit, the Minister of External Relations of the Federative Republic of Brazil, paid a courtesy call on H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and met with H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, on 9 May 2018. The two ministers discussed the promotion of Thai – Brazilian relations, celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Brazil in 2019, expansion of trade and investment, as well as various fields of cooperation, including agriculture, energy, narcotics suppression, sports and cooperation in multilateral frameworks, and global issues, among other issues of mutual interests.
 
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also hosted a dinner in honor of the Minister of External Relations of the Federative Republic of Brazil and his delegation.
 
This visit not only strengthened the bilateral ties between Thailand and Brazil by bolstering overall areas of cooperation but also provided an opportunity for the Thai government to promote trade and investment for the mutual benefit of both countries. In this regard, the Minister of Foreign Affairs offered feedback from Thai businesses that have invested in or traded with Brazil for the consideration of the Brazilian Government.
