The Royal Thai Embassy, Singapore organised the THAI FESTIVAL 2018 on 3-6 May 2018, from 10.00-21.00 hrs, at the premises of the Royal Thai Embassy on Orchard Road. The Thai Festival is the Embassy’s annual event which the Singaporeans are looking forward to participating, and, this was the 16^th Thai Festival in Singapore. Throughout the 4 days of event, there were approximately 80,000 visitors.

          Nowadays, Thai products have become parts of the Singaporean society. The products which showcased in the event were authentic and local, most of them were from Thai qualified SMEs. There were Thai cultural performances, Thai boxing show and Thai live band on stage at the event every day.

          The official opening ceremony, which took place on 3 May 2018 at 18.00 hrs, was co-presided over by H.E. Mr. Manopchai Vongphakdi, Ambassador designate of Thailand to Singapore and Mr. Ng Teck Hean, Deputy Secretary (Asia Pacific), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, the Guest-of-Honour. It was also joined by ASEAN ambassadors and honourable guests from diplomatic missions, officials from the Singapore government, as well as representatives from the business sector in Singapore.

          This year, the Thai Festival was participated by 140 exhibitors from Thailand with wide range of Thai products. In this event, the visitors experienced a variety of Thai food, fresh Thai fruits and creative Thai fashion products and also enjoyed endless fun with Thai cultural performances, live band and Lucky Draw with many prizes. A variety of activities was also held during the Thai Festival 2018, including free photo souvenir printing for Instagram photos with hashtag #ThaiFestSG. Customers who purchased over S$20 also stood a chance to win Lucky Draw prizes.
