The Royal Thai Embassy in Rabat participated in Morocco’s agricultural fair (13^th Salon International de l’Agriculutre au Maroc – SIAM) in Meknes, Morocco on 23 – 29 April 2018.

           SIAM is the biggest agricultural fair in Morocco and North Africa. The Fair covered 172,000 square metre and featured the presence of the public and private sector from 70 countries (23 of which were from Africa) in more than 1400 stands. The fair is an annual event, with this year being the 13^th, and is the meeting point for business people in agro-industry from all over the world, especially Europe and Africa. Moreover, the fair covers all aspect of agro-industry from machinery, live animals, plant seeds, to processed goods, food products and hobby-related merchandises.

           As for Thailand, the national stand was animated by the participation of two Thai private companies: Petchngam 168 (producing dried fruits) and Tropical Fruit Fusion (producing fruit gummy jelly); and of the Thailand Trade Office in Cairo (jurisdiction zone covering Morocco). The Royal Thai Embassy also displayed other products given by Thai private sector, such as: rice, tea, and dried herbs.

           The Fair is estimated to have welcomed more than 1.02 million people. More information can be found at www.salon-agriculture.ma/
