The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) co-host the Regional Conference ASEAN 2025: Synchronising the Economic and Security Agendas on 2 – 3 May 2018 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok.

Reaffirming the importance Thailand attaches to promoting cooperation on border management and addressing transnational crime, H.E. Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, and H.E. Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Transport, delivered Keynote Addresses at the opening session of the Regional Conference.

The Conference includes discussions on practical and concrete measures to strengthening regional border management mechanisms building upon the three Conferences previously held in 2015 – 2017. This is aimed to help safeguard regional security and facilitate cross-border trade within ASEAN and beyond. Participants include representatives from ASEAN Member States, partner countries and relevant international organisations.
