On 16 March 2018, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Poland paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Jaroslaw Walesa, Member of the European Parliament and Vice Chair of the Committee on Fisheries of the European Parliament, in Gdansk on the occasion of her assumption of duty. They discussed on the potential economic cooperation between Thailand and Poland which was based on the strategic location that both countries share in common in their respective region, making the two countries capable to be a gateway and a logistic hub to each other’s region.  In addition, the two sides exchanged views on the cooperation between ASEAN and EU on sustainable development issue, as Thailand being a current country coordinator of ASEAN-EU framework, and the situation of fisheries industry which is among the important industries for countries in the European and Asian regions.
