On 10 March 2018, Mr. Surashete Boontinand, Chargé d'affaires, a.i., led the Embassy’s officials and staff including their families’ members to participate in the Sports Gala with Thai students and Thai community in Islamabad. The annual event which was held inside the Thai Embassy’s compound  was jointly organized by the Royal Thai Embassy, Islamabad, and the Thai Students’ Association in Islamabad. The Sports Gala consists of multiple sports activities such as football, volleyball, Sepak Takraw, table tennis, tug of war, badminton, sack race, relay race, etc., attended by more than 170 participants. The objective of this event is to help the Thai students and the Thai community to get acquainted with Thai Embassy and Team Thailand’s officials and to promote unity and harmony among Thai students as well as to encourage the students to play sports for good health.
