           On 5 February 2018, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand to Belgium, and the officials from the Royal Thai Embassy and other offices in Brussels, paid a visit to Solvay company in Brussels. They were welcomed by Mr. Alexis Brouhns, General Manager for Government and Public Affairs and President of Europe Zone, and were briefed about the company, its products and its latest innovation. Then the Ambassador attended the lunchoen hosted by Mr. Vincent De Cuyper, Member of Executive Committee, and they discussed about the company's business in Thailand, its challenges, recommendation of the company as well as the cooperation between the Embassy and and company.
            Solvay is a leading chemical company in Belgium with a long history of more than 150 years. The company produces materials used in various industries from agriculture and foods, consumer products, electrical and electronics to automotive and aerospace. Today, Solvay focuses on R&D in advanced materials (lightweight and energy-saving) and next-generation batteries (long lasting and powerful) for automotive and aerospace industries which serves the company's vision to preserve the environment.
            The company began its business in Thailand in 1987. It produces Hydrogen Peroxides, which Thailand is the largest producer in the world, Peracetic Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate, surfactants and mining chemicals. The company is the leading Belgian company who invest in Thailand, with investment of more than 750 million euro.
