On 29 November 2017, the Prince Mahidol Award Foundation under the Royal Patronage (PMAF) held a joint press conference at Siriraj Medical Library, Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok, to announce the recipients of the Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Scholarship for 2017. On this occasion, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Director-General of the Department of Information, in the capacity of the Chair of the PMAF Public Relations Sub-Committee, together with Professor Supat Vanichyakarn, Secretary-General of the PMAF, Professor Vicharn Panich, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Steering Committee, Professor Somphop Limpongsanurak, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Selection Committee, and Professor Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Chairman of Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Working Committee, were present at the press conference.
The five scholarship recipients of the Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Scholarship are as follows:
1. Mr. Nipith Charoenngam, Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University
2. Ms. Thanitsara Rittiphairoj, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University
3. Ms. Suchanan Kanjanapong, Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University
4. Mr. Kanat Chanthongdee, Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University
5. Mr. Peem Sarasombath, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University
All the recipients of the Prince Mahidol award will receive a one - year scholarship for research study, professional training or community development in abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will arrange a preparatory briefing for the recipients before their departure.
