The 7th Thai Youth Initiative against Drugs (TYID) Project is being organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with various Thai organizations, such as the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, Ministry of Education, Asia – Pacific NGO on Drug and Substance Abuse Prevention and True Corporation Public Company Limited, in line with the Youth Initiative project of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). This competition has been organized since 2012 with the objective of encouraging Thai youth to showcase their potentials and creativity in order to help raise awareness on the dangers of narcotic drugs among the younger generation.

The 7th Thai Youth Initiative against Drugs project invites groups of 3 young people between the ages of 15 and 18 years to send 2 short video clips of 1-minute and 3-minute in Thai or local languages with Thai subtitles under the theme “The King’s Philosophy” and the prevention of drugs problem among youth. The deadline for submission of both video clips is 28 February 2018. A committee will then select the top 5 best video clips and subsequently invite representatives of the 5 best groups to give an English presentation on their video clips to the Selection Committee during the final round. The winner will receive an opportunity to join a study visit abroad in June 2018.

Groups of interested young people can submit the application form along with the 1-minute and 3-minute video clips to www.facebook.com/ThaiYouth inbox or [email protected] during 1 December 2017 to 28 February 2018.
