               Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the head of the Thai delegation gave a speech during the High Level Meeting of the General Assembly on the Appraisal of the UN Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons on 27 – 28 September 2017 at the United Nations Head Quarter in New York, the United States.During the plenary session,  Deputy Permanent Secretary  reiterated “zero tolerance” policy towards human trafficking, demonstrated Thailand’s significant and unwavering efforts in eradicating human trafficking through Thailand’s 5Ps framework, namely policy, prosecution, protection, prevention, and partnership. In his statement, Deputy Permanent Secretary also urged Member States to step up efforts to make sure trafficking is a “high risk, no reward business” by strengthening public-private-civil society partnerships.
