H.E. Mr. Virasakdi Futrakul, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, will attend the 3rd Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JC) between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan during 21 – 22 June 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The Ministerial Meeting will be co-chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and H.E. Mr. Birzhan Nurymbetov, Vice Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan. The Senior Official Meeting will be co-chaired by Mr. Krerkpan Roekchamnong, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and Mr. Tleuov Nurken Orynbekovich, Director of the Department of Labor and Social Partnership, Ministry of Labour  and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan.

The JC Meeting is a platform for both sides to discuss various bilateral issues including trade and investment, minerals and energy, tourism, cultural and technical cooperation.  After the conclusion of the Meeting, there will be a signing ceremony of the Agreed Minutes of the 3rd JC Meeting by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Vice Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan, as well as a signing ceremony of the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Exemption from Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic and Service/Official Passports by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and H.E. Mr. Mukhtar Tileuberdi, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
